My name is Muhammad Atallah. I am an English-Arabic freelance translator based in Egypt. Though a native Arabic speaker, I have studied English since my childhood. I have been an English-Arabic freelance translator for the past 8 years. My specific areas of expertise are: Law, business, IT and others.

  • National Professional Officer (Translator), WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (2 September 2018 – 31 October 2018)
  • Freelance English-Arabic translator, WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (April 2018 – till now)
  • An external translator for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) (June 2011 – present)
    To the end of December 2017, I have translated more than 1.5 million words (more than 4,500 pages) for WIPO from English into Arabic.
  • English-Arabic freelance translator for a number of firms and organizations in Egypt and around the world (January 2009 -present)
    Over 2,000,000 words translated on a wide range of subjects, ranging from technical manuals, marketing brochures, websites, computer applications, accounting and financials to business contracts and proposals.
